As a Refuel Senior Supervisor in our Airfield Engineering and Support Services (AESAS) team, you’ll lead the delivery of aviation fuel services within a highly regulated operational environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring fuel quality, safety, compliance, and operational readiness in support of military and civilian aircraft operations at RNAS Yeovilton. By overseeing the safe storage, management, testing, and delivery of aviation fuel, you’ll help maintain essential operational capability while creating a positive impact for Defence operations. Working with pride, care, and professionalism, you’ll contribute to a trusted service that supports people, missions, and the future of critical aviation activities. What you’ll do as a Refuel Senior Supervisor

• Lead and support the delivery of aviation fuel services, ensuring all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual and regulatory requirements. • Manage aviation fuel operations, including fuel quality assurance, testing, contamination checks, fuel accountancy, and bulk fuel installation oversight. • Supervise refuelling activities for military and civilian aircraft and oversee the operation of specialist refuelling vehicles and equipment. • Maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental, quality, and airworthiness requirements, including Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations and fuel management procedures. • Coordinate training, competence, and currency requirements for the team, ensuring records and assurance activities are maintained. • Support continuous improvement initiatives, manage operational risks, and build strong working relationships with customers and stakeholders across the contract. • You have relevant vocational driving qualifications and experience operating aviation refuelling vehicles within a regulated environment (O Licence) • You have strong knowledge of fuel quality assurance, fuel testing, contamination controls, and aviation fuel management practices. • You understand health and safety requirements, including Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH), environmental regulations, and quality management processes. • You’re confident using computer systems to maintain accurate operational records and support compliance activities. • You can lead by example, communicate effectively, build trust with others, and deliver results in a fast-paced operational environment. Vetting and checks: This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, which involves verifying your identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record to meet government security standards. In addition, you will need to obtain formal Security Clearance (such as CTC or SC), which includes more detailed background checks on employment, criminal record, and financial history to ensure suitability for working in secure environments.
