Job Summary: The Junior OT Security Engineer supports the Operational Technology (OT) Security program by assisting in the management, monitoring, and continuous improvement of security technologies that protect manufacturing and industrial environments. This role is focused on foundational OT cybersecurity operations, execution of Run & Maintain (R&M) activities, and maintaining strong asset visibility across OT environments. The engineer will work under the guidance of senior OT engineers to execute operational tasks, improve data quality, and help sustain OT security controls at scale. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the health, accuracy, and reliability of OT security platforms and metrics, ensuring the program continues to mature and operate effectively. Responsibilities:

• Support daily operations of OT security technologies, with a primary focus on OT asset visibility and detection platform, maintenance, and data quality

• Execute Run & Maintain (R&M) activities, including device classification, asset reconciliation, exception handling, and rule tuning

• Assist with maintaining high-quality OT asset inventory

• Perform basic troubleshooting for discovery configurations, integrations, and platform health issues, escalating as needed

• Monitor OT security alerts, identify anomalies, and support investigation and escalation processes

• Support ongoing improvement of OT metrics (e.g., asset designation, collector health, visibility gaps) through continuous data cleanup and validation

• Assist with onboarding new sites, validating OT asset inventory, and supporting enforcement or audit readiness activities

• Contribute to development and improvement of standard work procedures, documentation, and operational playbooks

• Partner with OT Administrators, Network Engineering, and Security Engineering teams to support secure and stable OT environments

• Participate in OT Office Hours and assist site teams with operational questions and issue resolution

• Support improvements, changes, and configurations to our security suite. • Provide backup and support for other security capabilities managed by the Security Engineering Team. • Manage and track security metrics to be included in Monthly Operating Reviews (MORs), Project Status Reviews (PSRs), and workshops. • Up to 10% travel required based on business and project needs, including visits to manufacturing and distribution sites. Required Qualifications and Competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT operations, or a related technical discipline

• Foundational understanding of networking concepts, including: • IP addressing, subnets, routing, and switching fundamentals • VLANs and network segmentation concepts (especially IT vs OT separation) • Firewall rules and how traffic flows between systems

Preferred Qualifications and Competencies:

• Basic troubleshooting skills for connectivity issues (e.g., device communication failures, segmentation impacts) • Understanding of how asset discovery tools use network traffic and integrations to identify devices

• Exposure to OT/ICS environments or manufacturing systems

• Familiarity with asset discovery, monitoring, or security tools (e.g Armis, Claroty, Dragos, and Nozomi)

• Experience supporting operational platforms or infrastructure tools

• Strong attention to detail, particularly with asset data, classification, and system accuracy

• Ability to follow defined processes and execute repeatable operational tasks with consistency

• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting and data validation

• Effective communication and collaboration across IT, OT, and security teams

• Willingness to learn OT-specific technologies, environments, and security practices
