About this role
The purpose of this role is to help deliver, manage and support legal work within dentsu. Job Description: Key responsibilities
• Provide strategic legal advice to dentsu China's brands, service lines and centralised functions.
• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts with advertising clients and vendors.
• Provide data privacy advice in relation to existing and new products and services and interactions with regulators.
• Prepare and deliver training on data privacy and other Legal & Compliance topics to both non-legally qualified and legally-qualified colleagues.
• Implement best practice in compliance, contracts management, intellectual property and data privacy.
• Provide legal advice in other areas as required, including litigation and dispute resolution, companies law and corporate governance.
Person specification
• PRC-qualified lawyer.
• A minimum of 4 years’ post-qualification experience.
• In-depth experience and knowledge of key legal principles relating to data privacy, contracts, intellectual property rights, company law and litigation.
• Experience in drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial agreements.
• Knowledge of corporate governance.
• Experience of dealing directly with executive-level stakeholders and a demonstrated ability to build relationships.
• Ability to manage competing priorities within a diverse workload.
• Collaborative attitude essential to working in a small, well-coordinated team.
• Advertising, media or technology industry experience would be a plus, but is not a pre-requisite.
• Candidates with either law firm or in-house experience are equally welcome.
