In Group Technology, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels. Responsibilities
• Manage and support Oracle Exadata Database Machine environments (primary role) and data engineering processes (secondary role). • Use Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) to monitor performance metrics and identify bottlenecks. • Manage Oracle RAC, ASM, Grid Infrastructure, and Oracle Database instances on Exadata. • Support high availability and disaster recovery solutions such as Data Guard and RAC. • Execute backup/recovery procedures using RMAN to meet stringent RPO/RTO requirements. • Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain Exadata software, Grid Infrastructure, and Oracle databases. • Perform Exadata health checks, monitoring, capacity planning, and performance tuning. • Monitor cell server performance and capacity planning. • Manage storage cells, cell disks, grid disks, flash cache, IORM, and Smart Scan-related features. • Providing support for critical incidents, performing RCA, and implementing long-term fixed • Troubleshoot database, clusterware, ASM, storage, network, and Exadata cell issues. • Implement security best practices, access controls, auditing, compliance requirements, and hardening. • Manage database access and security policies in a regulated environment • Develop automation scripts and tools using Python. • Manage source code repositories and version control using Bitbucket. • Create and maintain proper technical documentation and Confluence pages. • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions. Requirements
• Strong experience in Oracle Database Administration. • Hands-on experience with Exadata storage cells, Smart Scans, Hybrid Columnar Compression (HCC), and Flash Cache management. • Proven expertise in RMAN backups, recovery, and data migration, specifically on large-scale production databases. • Deep knowledge of AWR/ASH/ADDM reports, SQL tuning, execution plans, and optimizer behaviour. • Experience with patching, upgrading, and security hardening of Exadata. • Financial services or high-frequency trading environment experience is preferred due to high-availability needs. • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control. • Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and analytical abilities. • Ability to work under pressure during production downtime or critical incidents. • Strong command-line skills, including scripting (Bash, Python) for automation and monitoring. • Experience with Bitbucket and code management practices. • Strong documentation skills, including maintaining Confluence pages. • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies. • Familiarity with Distributed and Graph Database technologies is an advantage.
