The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for leading shop‑floor operations in cleanroom production, owning deviation response, cross‑process coordination, daily production prioritization, and operator scheduling to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and compliance.

This position reports to the Supply Chain Manager and is part of the Korea Manufacturing Team located in Song-Do (In-Cheon) and will be an on-site role.

What you will do:

• Production Operations & Strategy Execution

Lead daily production operations while developing and executing production strategies aligned with customer demand, capacity, material availability, cleanroom requirements, and business priorities. Make clear, data-driven decisions when operational or compliance requirements conflict.

• Production Scheduling, People & Resource Coordination

Collaborate with Material Planner and S&OP teams to build and revise production schedules based on demand, material constraints, validation requirements, and capacity. Manage operator staffing, shift planning, workload allocation, coaching, and effective shift handovers.

• Documentation & Regulatory Compliance

Ensure accurate completion of batch records, deviation reports, and production documentation. Maintain audit readiness and compliance with applicable GMP, quality, cleanroom, biohazard, and EHS requirements.

• Equipment & Shop Floor Leadership

Coordinate equipment qualification, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and process readiness with Quality and Engineering. Provide hands-on leadership during production disruptions, peak demand, and critical situations to protect safety, quality, and delivery.

• Continuous Improvement & Lean Practices

Establish daily management routines and monitor QDIP metrics using ERP systems and data analytics. Apply Lean principles, root cause analysis, standard work, visual management, and Kaizen to eliminate waste, improve productivity and flow, reduce cost, and build a sustainable continuous improvement culture.

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Logistics or related field.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, including experience leading production teams, managing daily operations, and balancing production schedules, demand, resources, quality, and delivery requirements.

• Strong understanding of structured manufacturing operations, including material and production flow, equipment readiness, process control, standard work, issue escalation, and compliance with quality and safety requirements. Candidates from life sciences, biopharma, medical devices, automotive, semiconductor, electronics, or other quality-focused manufacturing industries will be considered.

• Excellent decision-making and prioritization skills, with the ability to operate under pressure, manage trade-offs transparently, and lead cross-functional teams through clear and effective communication. Willingness to provide hands-on leadership during critical shop-floor situations

• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, with strong data analysis, forecasting, and reporting skills. Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Language/Environment Requirements:

• Fluent level of English & Korean in written and verbal communications

• Ability to travel abroad upon business needs

• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record within territory or locations

• If foreign national, legal work permit is required to pursue employment contract by Korean immigration law

• Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 30lb, any other physical requirements

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• CPIM, CSCP or related professional certification. Strong familiarity with safety, environmental, health (EHS) compliance relevant to biologics/cleanroom environments; experience in biosafety / containment, cleaning validation, or contamination control.

• Experience in tech transfer, commissioning, qualification / validation (IQ / OQ / PQ) of equipment / facility for biologics manufacturing.

• Prior leadership experience in cross‑functional continuous improvement projects, cost optimization initiatives, or waste/yield improvement in a biologics or biopharma environment.
