Job Description Summary:
At The Coca‑Cola Company, we create beverages that refresh the world and bring people together. As a Blending Operator in our Auburndale facility, you’ll play a key role in turning raw ingredients into high-quality products that meet our exacting standards. This position is essential to delivering the quality and safety our consumers expect, working in a fast-paced environment where precision, teamwork, and attention to detail drive every batch.
What You’ll Do for Us
• Perform blending activities to convert raw materials into finished beverage products that meet quality specifications.
• Execute batching tasks, including equipment setup, cleanups, drum handling, drum dumping, and routine maintenance aligned to safe operating standards.
• Apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) by maintaining cleanliness of equipment, floors, walls, and production areas to support food-safe operations.
• Conduct visual inspections of incoming materials and blended product; identify non-conformances, apply minor adjustments, and document findings accurately.
• Complete all quality-related responsibilities according to standard procedures and approved work instructions.
• Operate multiple pieces of blending equipment, including high shear tanks, fluidor choppers, tote loaders, and conveyor systems; manage line inspections and document quality checks.
• Monitor and control blending processes through computer terminals and operator interface screens while maintaining adherence to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Safely operate forklifts as part of material handling activities required for production flows.
• Provide occasional coverage for other operators as needed to support seamless plant operations.
• Maintain accurate production records and comply with established performance, safety, and quality measures.
Requirements & Qualifications
• High school diploma GED or equivalent work experience
• Minimum prior experience as a production or blending operator in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Strong math competency and communication skills for accurate measurement and documentation.
• Demonstrated proficiency or ability to learn operator control panels and automated blending systems.
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machinery sequencing, including proper start-up and shutdown procedures.
• Ability to identify process issues or non-conforming products and apply corrective actions promptly.
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks including lifting to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
• Availability to work 12-hour shifts, including overtime, in alignment with plant scheduling requirements.
