Join Ciena’s global physical security team and contribute to maintaining a secure, safe, and compliant workplace environment. This individual contributor role is integral to workplace security operations through access management, monitoring, and incident response activities. The position works closely with employees, contractors, visitors, and cross-functional teams to support physical security objectives. How you will make an impact:

• Serve as the first point of contact for workplace security protocol inquiries from employees, contractors, and visitors • Provide guidance on security policies, procedures, and access-related requests • Create, issue, and deactivate physical access cards for employees, contractors, and visitors • Maintain records of access card issuance and compliance with access control policies • Monitor internal surveillance cameras and access control systems to maintain workplace security • Respond to alerts or suspicious activity and escalate security concerns when appropriate • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance workplace security initiatives and regulatory compliance The must haves:

• Education: B.Tech/B.E. or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline. • Experience: 2+ years of practical security experience or other relevant experience • Ability to converse and write in English language • Ability to maintain objectivity, confidentiality and integrity • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills • Strong documentation skills and experience • General understanding of business operations and fundamental underlying processes Nice to haves:

• Application of physical security access control and CCTV systems • Utilization of Microsoft Office applications and general computer knowledge • Highly ethical, team oriented, flexible, inquisitive, and logical approach to work • Ability to work across multiple levels of an organization and across cultures
