About this role
Due to our continuous growth, the Research & Development team is looking for a Virtual Tire Developer, who will be responsible for aiding the Tire Development Process by executing complex simulation tasks of our tire’s performance, while having the opportunity to work with multidisciplinary teams located in several countries.
The main responsibilities are:
Provide the performance assessment for commercial vehicle tires by using the Finite Element Method (FEM) simulations and prediction toolsUnderstand and apply boundary conditions given by the target market, application and serviceEnsure the product performance requirements are met and balanced through pattern, contour and layout optimizationAnalyze, evaluate, and present the simulations and prediction resultsCreate FEM tire models based on the specification of the tireGuarantee accuracy, quality and methodological procure in the simulation and prediction processes Pre-Bologna Degree or Integrated Master’s in an Engineering area, preferably Mechanical, or Mathematics areaKnowledge of FEM and experience with FE software (e.g., Ansys, Abaqus, Patran)Programming skills are beneficial (e.g., Matlab, Python)Skills in CAD software (e.g., NX, Catia, Solidworks)Project Management skillsSelf-organization and ability to work with autonomyGood communication and interaction skillsEnglish language skills (written and spoken)Availability for traveling.
