About this role

*About Us* Gobind Sarvar, Brampton (GSB) is a Sikh values-based school serving JK?Grade 10 in the GTA. We're looking for a hands-on Transportation Supervisor to lead our growing bus fleet operation ? managing drivers, routes, and day-to-day vehicle upkeep. Student safety is our top priority, and this role is central to that.

*About the Role* This is a dual-function role: part team leader, part hands-on fleet caretaker. You'll supervise our school bus drivers, manage and refine routes, and handle routine mechanical maintenance to keep the fleet running safely ? without needing to outsource every small fix.

*Responsibilities*

_Driver & Route Supervision_

* Supervise and schedule all school bus drivers * Monitor driver performance, conduct, and safety compliance * Handle driver incident reports and enforce safety standards * Manage and adjust bus routes as needed (pickup times, stops, load balancing) * Serve as the point of contact for driver-related issues and communication with school admin

_Fleet Maintenance_

* Perform routine day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs (brakes, lights, belts, fluids, tire checks, etc.) * Conduct or oversee pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections * Identify and flag larger mechanical issues that require a certified shop/specialist * Keep maintenance logs and ensure buses stay compliant with safety inspection requirements * Coordinate with external mechanics/shops for major repairs

*Qualifications*

* Valid Ontario Class B or E school bus license (confirm which applies to your fleet size), or willingness to obtain * Practical mechanical experience ? able to diagnose and fix common day-to-day bus issues (not a certified heavy-duty mechanic requirement) * Prior experience supervising drivers or a transportation team preferred * Strong organizational skills ? able to manage schedules, routes, and staff at once * Clean driving record, valid CPIC/Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain) * Comfortable working around children and school environments * Calm under pressure ? able to handle breakdowns, delays, or driver issues without disruption to student safety

*How to Apply:* Apply directly through Indeed, or email your resume to [email protected]

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

Application question(s): * Do you hold a valid Ontario Class B or E driver's license? * Do you have hands-on experience with vehicle/bus maintenance and minor repairs? * Do you have prior experience supervising a team of drivers or staff?
