Job Description Job DescriptionJob Description : A Reach Operator (often called a Reach Truck Operator) is responsible for safely operating a reach truck to move, store, and retrieve materials in warehouses and distribution centers.
Job Duties:
• Operate a reach truck to transport pallets and materials. • Load and unload products from racks, shelves, and trucks. • Pick and stage orders accurately according to work instructions. • Stack and store products safely at various heights. • Inspect the reach truck before each shift and report any maintenance issues. • Follow warehouse safety procedures and company policies. • Perform inventory counts and assist with stock control. • Use scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory. • Keep the work area clean and organized. • Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent (often preferred). • Valid reach truck or forklift certification. • Previous experience operating a reach truck (typically 6 months to 2 years). • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) or more, as required.
