*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring that the dental office operates smoothly. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices and procedures, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
*Duties*
* Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials. * Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. * Ensure patient comfort by providing support and information before, during, and after treatments. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the treatment area, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. * Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Dentrix. * Schedule appointments and handle patient inquiries at the front desk when necessary. * Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. * Assist in sterilization of instruments and maintain inventory of dental supplies. * Support specialized areas such as pediatrics or orthodontics when required.
*Requirements*
* Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred. * Knowledge of medical terminology. * Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort. * Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. * Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. * Sterilization (Ipac Certificates) * Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications in dental assisting are preferred.
