The Moose Jaw Multicultural Council is seeking a dynamic and forward thinking Settlement Services Manager. Programs under guidance of the SSM include: Needs Assessments and Referrals (NAARS), Information & Orientation, Resettlement Assistance Program (RAP), & Case Management.. Main Duties include (not limited to):Oversee day-to-day operationsDetermining staffing requirements, recruiting, interviewing and selecting staffResponsible for training, leading/coaching, evaluation, and discipline of program staffManaging staff caseloadsSupport, advise and ensure staff wellness when dealing with difficult caseloadsMandatory reportingPrepare elements of funding proposalsCash-flow forecasting and managing program expendituresPolicy development Committees work and establishing community partnershipsAct as a professional advisor/alternate to the Executive Director Qualifications Are:Bachelors degree or diploma in human services or social sciences preferredExperience in a management or leadership type role is preferred; experience in the sector will be taken into consideration.Experience working with vulnerable populationsExtensive knowledge of the settlement and integration processKnowledge of leadership and management principles and practices as they relate to non-profit organizations Ability to make informed and objective decisionsWorking knowledge of regulations such as: labour standards, human rights, occupational health and safety, privacy and confidentialityGood understanding of current community challenges and opportunities relating to the vision and mission of the organizationWorking knowledge of financial management and project managementAbility to handle high degrees of stressDemonstrated ability to establish and maintain professional relationshipsAbility to work flexible hours Excellent organizational and communication skills Only those selected for interview will be contacted.
