The Alberta RCMP's Community Safety & Well Being Branch is committed to improving community safety and outreach to the community. The Branch's Strategic Engagement Section has a new opportunity for a District Alternative Justice Coordinator. Reporting to the Manager of Strategic Engagement, the position is responsible for supporting the Crime Reduction Strategy within their District by building and maintaining partnerships and liaising between the RCMP, other levels of government, community organizations and consultative groups. Partnerships target various programs within the crime reduction realm aimed at reducing criminalization and/or involvement with law enforcement, and improving community safety outcomes. This position plays a critical role in collaborating with community stakeholders through working groups to deliver services to our communities which support our local, provincial and national policing priorities.
