Education: College/CEGEP. Tasks: Design dental devices. Fabricate and repair crowns, bridges or implants. Prepare plaster models and moulds. Supervise technical staff. Train other dental technicians. Maintain and order supplies. Mould wax over dentures set-up. Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays. Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures. Polish and buff dentures. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Technical expertise (dental): Plastering. Packing. Waxing-up. Polishing. Assembly. Area of specialization: Full dentures. Partial dentures. Crowns and bridges.
