Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Dairy. Work setting: Rural area. Room and board provided. Tasks: Develop and guide the behaviour of farm animals. Handling animals. Monitor the calving process. Monitoring animal health. Organize tasks to accomplish the work. Perform animal grooming activities . Perform livestock feeding. Supervise milking operations to ensure work is done correctly . Feed and tend animals. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain livestock performance records. Milk cows. Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens. Perform general farm duties. Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops. Equipment and machinery experience: Feeding and watering system. Milking system (automated). Tractor.
