About this role
Education: Master's degree. Psychology, general. Counselling psychology. Art therapy/therapist. Tasks: Consult with other health care professionals to evaluate treatment plans . Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling and the patient's outcomes. Interview clients, prepare case histories and assess problems. Record observations. Write progress reports . Provide therapy. Counsel individuals and groups to achieve more effective personal, social and vocational development and adjustment. Apply psychological theory and principles regarding behaviour and mental processes. Develop and implement counselling and intervention programs to assist clients in determining goals and means of attaining them. Counsel clients, provide therapy and mediation services, and facilitate group sessions. Maintain accurate records. Plan intervention programs. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Membership with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Functional expertise: Professional accreditation.
