Job Overview This part-time position provides support to Elementary Dual Language Immersion (DLI) programs with the administration of the Virginia Language and Literacy Screening System (VALLSS). The position assists DLI teachers in administering the VALLSS assessments for students. Roles and Responsibilities The following information is intended to describe the overall nature and scope of the work being performed. This is not a comprehensive listing of all responsibilities or tasks; work may differ and other work may be assigned when deemed appropriate.
• Administer the Virginia Assessment of Language and Literacy Screening System (VALLSS) Assessment in accordance with LCPS and state guidelines in a one-on-one setting.
• Ensure testing protocols are followed and testing environments are secure and organized.
• Collaborate with school staff to prepare materials and set up testing locations.
• Supervise students during testing and provide support as needed.
• Document and report any testing irregularities or concerns.
• Complete and submit the required post-assessment documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality.
Qualifications Below are the minimum qualifications for this job. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be acceptable. Education Bachelor's Degree Experience At least three years of successful full-time teaching experience is preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Retired certified teacher with elementary school experience (preferred).
• Strong English language proficiency, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
• Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and student accommodations.
• Basic proficiency with technology used in online assessments.
