Job Title: Strong Readers Act Reading Partner (Temporary Position) Position Goal: To provide intensive remediation in reading to students on a Strong Readers Intervention Plan. Qualifications:
• Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate (Preferred certification in Early Childhood, Elementary, or Reading Specialist)
• Understanding of the Science of Reading and structured literacy approaches
• Experience working with diverse learners and implementing differentiated instruction.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individual and small-group tutoring using evidence-based reading interventions to students in grades K-3 who demonstrate below-grade-level reading skills.
• Assess student reading levels and progress using approved literacy screening tools, as needed.
• Deliver evidence-based instruction aligned with the Science of Reading.
• Collaborate with the district Title I Coordinator, principals, teachers, and other designated staff to align interventions based on student needs.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
• Attend trainings and/or meetings as requested by the district.
Duration: This is a temporary, targeted position. The exact duration will be determined based on student need and funding availability.
