Bullitt County Public Schools is requesting a waiver to fill this position before the standard 15-day posting period to ensure we are fully staffed for the upcoming school year. Crossroads Elementary is seeking a dedicated, flexible, and student-centered Special Education Teacher certified to serve students with learning and/or behavior disabilities for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate believes deeply in the potential of all students to succeed and demonstrates a commitment to maintaining high expectations while providing the individualized supports necessary for each learner to thrive. This educator will plan, organize, and deliver high-quality instruction tailored to meet the diverse academic and behavioral needs of students, using a variety of strategies and interventions to help students achieve mastery of their learning goals. Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement standards-based lessons aligned to Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
• Use student data to inform instruction and monitor ongoing progress
• Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, families, and support staff
• Create a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that fosters student growth
• Implement behavior supports and differentiated instructional strategies to meet diverse needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with special education regulations
Qualifications:
• Must hold appropriate special education certification to serve students with learning and/or behavior disabilities.
