Job Title: Middle School Head Baseball Coach Reports To: Athletic Director / School Principal Position Type: Part-Time / Seasonal Position Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Middle Grades Baseball Coach to lead our student-athletes. This position is responsible for teaching baseball fundamentals, promoting teamwork and sportsmanship, and fostering a safe, positive environment where middle school students (grades 6–8) can develop athletic skills and strong character. Key Responsibilities
• Skill Development: Teach core baseball fundamentals—including pitching, hitting, fielding, base running, and game strategy—tailored to middle school skill levels.
• Practice & Game Management: Plan and execute structured daily practices, manage game lineups and rotations, and oversee game-day logistics.
• Student Safety: Prioritize player safety, including pitch-count limits, proper warm-up/stretching routines, and equipment safety checks.
• Academic & Behavioral Oversight: Support student-athlete eligibility by reinforcing standards for academic performance, respect, and sportsmanship.
• Communication: Maintain regular, professional communication with athletic administration, parents, players, and umpires.
• Equipment & Field Care: Oversee team uniform issuance, gear maintenance, and basic field preparation (raking, lining, field setup/breakdown).
Qualifications Category Requirement
Education High school diploma required
Experience 1–3 years of coaching or playing experience at the middle school, high school, or youth baseball level.
Certifications First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain prior to the start).
Requirements Successful completion of background check and state athletic association credentialing (if applicable).
