About this role

PURPOSE STATEMENT The Flag Football Coordinator position will set up, manage, and supervise 4th & 5th Grade Co-Ed Flag Football events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Promote the philosophies, values and beliefs of the Walla Walla School District athletic program.

• Schedule all athletic contests, working with the District AD and Transportation to facilitate facility usage and transportation.

• Work with the District AD and building Principal to develop and implement a system for ensuring equipment, supplies, and uniforms are purchased and maintained to support the flag football program needs.

• Work with coaches to ensure that they all meet district coaching requirements.

• Work with the District AD, building Principal, and Facilities & Operations to maintain, develop, and monitor safe, attractive and adequate athletic facilities for games and practices.

• Work with the District AD to develop and implement an efficient and accurate registration system.

• Work with the District AD to hire, assign, and supervise coaches.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Experience as a coach.

• Demonstrated knowledge of current coaching strategies, techniques, rules, and regulations.

• Current CPR card and either a First Aid Card or documentation or equivalent sports medicine training.

• Demonstrated ability to serve as a positive role model.

• Ability to communicate and work with students/athletes, parents, staff and community in an effective and positive manner.

• Evident of outstanding organizational skills.

Licenses/Special Requirements

• Completed Employment Application/Background Check.

PAY LEVEL Extra Curricular Salary Schedule; Group 9
