JOB TITLE: School Attendance Facilitator Responsibilities:
• Monitor student attendance data on a regular basis to identify students demonstrating patterns of absenteeism, excessive tardiness, early checkouts, or other attendance concerns.
• Work with school administration and attendance personnel to identify students who may be at risk of chronic absenteeism.
• Review attendance trends by student, grade level, classroom, and other appropriate groups.
• Monitor the attendance of students receiving attendance interventions and document progress.
• Use attendance data to identify patterns and potential barriers to regular school attendance.
• Provide regular attendance updates to the building principal and appropriate county personnel.
• Assist with school-wide attendance data collection and reporting as requested.
• Help students establish attendance goals and develop strategies for improving attendance.
• Celebrate student progress and recognize improvements in attendance.
• Serve as a consistent and supportive adult presence for students who may be experiencing barriers to school attendance.
• Promote a positive school culture in which regular attendance is valued and encouraged.
• Work with the school's attendance team to identify appropriate interventions for students experiencing attendance difficulties.
• Assist in implementing school-based attendance interventions at the universal, targeted, and individualized levels.
• Assist the school administration and attendance team in developing and implementing a school-wide attendance plan.
• Help establish attendance goals that align with county attendance goals and school improvement priorities.
• Coordinate positive attendance recognition and incentive activities.
• Assist with attendance awareness campaigns and student/family engagement activities.
• Promote positive messaging about the importance of daily school attendance.
• Assist teachers and staff in identifying strategies for encouraging improved student attendance.
• Help identify attendance trends and areas of concern that may require school-wide intervention.
• Participate in school attendance team meetings and other meetings as assigned.
