Additional Job Information Lake Technical College About the Role Are you an experienced veterinary professional passionate about shaping the future of animal care? Lake Technical College is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assisting Instructor to teach, mentor, and prepare students for rewarding careers in veterinary medicine. You will deliver hands-on clinical training, classroom instruction, and real-world skills at our Tavares, FL instructional site. Key Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging curriculum covering animal nursing, restraint, pharmacology, surgical assisting, laboratory procedures, and clinical safety.
• Maintain a safe, fully equipped, hands-on veterinary lab environment.
• Evaluate student performance through practical clinical assessments and written coursework.
• Guide students toward industry certifications and career readiness.
Qualifications
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in veterinary care (required).
• Certifications: DVM, CVA, CVT, LVT, or RVT credential preferred.
• Teaching: Prior instructional or training experience is a plus, but strong clinical expertise and a passion for mentoring are most critical.
Compensation & Benefits
• Starting Salary: $52,000
• Schedule: Full-time, 206-day academic contract with summers and built-in school holidays off.
