Boston Higashi School – Randolph, MA $20.00 per hour | Full-Time | Overnight Shift No Degree Required | Paid Training Provided Make a Difference Overnight Looking for steady overnight work where you can make a meaningful difference? Boston Higashi School is hiring Overnight Awake Instructors to support students with autism in our residential program. You do not need a degree or previous special education experience to apply. We provide training and ongoing support to help you succeed. This is a great opportunity for someone who is dependable, patient, caring, and interested in gaining experience in special education, human services, behavioral health, residential care, or direct support work. What You'll Do As an Overnight Awake Instructor, you will help provide a safe, calm, and supportive environment for students throughout the night and help them prepare for the day ahead. Responsibilities include:
• Remain awake and alert throughout the overnight shift
• Complete student safety checks every 15 minutes
• Support students with personal care and daily living routines
• Help students prepare for breakfast and their transition to the school day
• Maintain a safe, structured, and comfortable residential environment
• Document overnight activities, student needs, and important information
• Communicate with overnight, residential, and day program staff
• Assist students with clothing, belongings, and room organization
• Build positive and respectful relationships with students
• Participate in required training, meetings, and professional development
• Follow student plans, safety procedures, and school policies

• Patient, compassionate, and comfortable supporting students with autism
• Able to stay awake and attentive throughout the entire shift
• Comfortable working as part of a team
• Organized and able to complete written documentation
• Professional and respectful when working with students, families, and coworkers
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
No college degree required. Previous experience in special education, residential programs, caregiving, human services, behavioral health, healthcare, or direct support is helpful, but not required.
