Position: Speech Language Pathologist
Salary: Administrative Professional Pay Grade 5 Minimum Maximum
$62,683.00 $84,328.00
Minimum Duty Days: 195 Days
Start Date: 2026-2027 Workday Schedule
Minimum Requirements: Master's Degree in speech language pathology from an accredited university. Valid Texas license as a speech language pathologist granted by the State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology (SBESLPA). One year of supervised clinical speech language pathology experience.
Primary Purpose: Provide speech-language pathology services to students with speech, voice, or language disorders. Assess students and provide therapeutic intervention to eliminate or reduce problems or impairments that interfere with the students' abilities to derive full benefit from the educational program.
Special Knowledge/Skills: Proficiency in the use of tests and measurements for assessing speech language disorders. Knowledge of evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of monolingual and bilingual speech, language, and hearing disorders. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to instruct, manage student behavior, and work collaboratively across district departments and campuses. Ability to travel to multiple work locations as assigned.
