12-month full time, non-exempt, 40-hour work week, 2nd shift hours are 2:30 pm to 10:30pm Job Description: Perform all phases of Operation and Maintenance duties as directed by Maintenance Leads. Primary Responsibilities: Examples of the work performed might include but not limited to:
• Diagnose and make repairs on any mechanical equipment within the school district.
• Construct shelves, cabinets, etc., and repair desks, tables and chairs.
• Inspect, repair or replace plumbing, piping, fixtures, traps, valves, gauges, pumps, coils, gaskets and other related work.
• Make minor electrical installations and repairs.
• Respond to any emergency calls.
• Perform maintenance on air conditioning and heating equipment.
• Perform minor repairs to roofs as needed.
• Perform all work incidental to construction of small structures or minor remodeling of buildings.
• Work on preventive maintenance for controls and other equipment; also, energy conservation work.
• Responsible for keeping parking lots and sidewalks clear of snow.
• Keep tools and mechanical equipment owned by district in clean condition and good repair.
• Report all injuries and accidents directly to Leads or O&M Secretaries.
• Maintain all work order and inventory records in an accurate manner.
• Operate all equipment in a safe manner.
• Snow plow.
• Maintain and repair any vehicle in the motor pool.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Qualifications:
• Ability to deal with the public and district staff tactfully and courteously
• Must be in good health and in good physical condition
• Ability to lift 75 lbs
• Have knowledge of small machines, repair, and maintenance
• Must obtain a class C or higher driver's license
• Be able to make repairs to any building or equipment within a building. Any task as directed by Leads and or Assistant and Director of Operations and Maintenance.
