Moulding Technician Pale Blue Dot Recruitment is advertising this vacancy on behalf of MeHow Medical Ireland. Position Overview MeHow Medical Ireland is seeking a skilled Moulding Technician to join its manufacturing team in Bray, Co. Wicklow. The role is responsible for technical set-up, operation, process control, troubleshooting and support of injection moulding equipment to achieve defined production and quality standards. Key Responsibilities • Set up, operate and control injection moulding machines and related equipment. • Monitor and adjust temperature, pressure, cycle times and other process settings to optimise process stability and output. • Identify process variations and troubleshoot equipment or production issues to minimise downtime. • Conduct equipment inspections and carry out routine and preventive maintenance. • Inspect moulded components for defects, dimensional accuracy and surface quality. • Use calipers, micrometers and gauges to verify product conformity. • Document quality issues, support corrective actions and maintain accurate production and quality records. • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, documented procedures and company quality requirements. • Apply practical knowledge of moulding processes and materials when investigating production or quality issues. • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. • Support robotic automation and auxiliary manufacturing equipment where required. • Contribute to process stability, equipment performance, product quality and continuous improvement. • Work with production, quality, maintenance and other cross-functional teams. • Follow all health and safety procedures and safely handle production materials and equipment. Required Qualifications & Experience • 2+ years of technical experience supporting injection moulding machinery or similar manufacturing equipment, including machine set-up, process adjustment, troubleshooting and/or maintenance. • Strong practical understanding of injection moulding processes, materials and quality standards. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. • Strong mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting capability. • Experience using calipers, micrometers and gauges. • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends. Preferred • Technical certification in plastics technology, manufacturing or a related industrial discipline. • Experience with Engel, Arburg, Sumitomo Demag or Battenfeld equipment. • Experience with robotic automation and auxiliary equipment. • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma.
