Job Overview CBM Ireland is an international development organisation, committed to improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities across the world. As part of an energetic and enthusiastic team, the Graphic Design and UX Support Officer reports to the Fundraising Manager and is a member of the Fundraising Team, a creative role within the team to support in the delivery of graphics, layout and content creation for mailings, reports, supporter engagement and public engagement. The Graphic Design and UX Support Officer role offers an excellent learning opportunity for a driven and motivated individual with a desire to gain experience in graphic design and its uses in the not-for-profit sector. The roll be supplemented with 60 training hours, of which 20 shall be accredited training. Role Description This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP. We are looking for a Graphic Design and UX Support Officer to work with our fundraising team to design and lay out inspiring and creative communications that respond to supporter needs. You will work with the wider fundraising team and initiatives in building, laying out and completion of professional graphic designs for all fundraising activities, including direct mailings, inserts, unique additions to mailings, and any other design requirements with a particular focus on graphics, layout and user experience.. Access to accredited certificate or equivalent in Graphic Design or related course; or WPEP QQI Work Experience Module to You will receive formal training in through online courses/modules • Microsoft 365 and relevant Microsoft applications • CRM (Salesforce) navigation • Fundraising Essentials • Graphic Design Programmes such as Adobe InDesign and Illustrator • Basic fundraising campaign reporting Informal / On-the-Job Training The participant will receive ongoing practical training and mentoring from experienced members of the Fundraising teams and CEO. This will include: • Shadowing experienced team members during fundraising activities, decision processes and campaign planning; • Learning how to assess fundraising performance and business returns from fundraising campaigns; • A/B testing analysis from parallel fundraising approaches • Practical guidance on using CRM (Salesforce) and marketing platforms as well as data-entry and workflows • Working alongside the team on live direct mail campaigns and communications • Participating in fundraising team meetings and campaign planning sessions • Developing practical skills and knowledge in Charities’ Annual Reporting requirements • Learning how to prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines in a busy environment • Regular guidance and feedback from the participant's supervisor • Gradually taking greater responsibility for assigned activities as confidence and competence develops
