Job SummaryYou will serve as a BIOMEDICAL TECHNICIAN in the MATERIAL MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT of NAVHLTHRSCHCEN SDIEGO.

QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Experience utilizing medical support systems (e.g. Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support System) to track, schedule, and complete required medical equipment maintenance. (2) Experience ensuring controlled property records are prepared and maintained containing appropriate nomenclature, serial number, model, manufacturer, and other pertinent data for each piece of medical and non-medical equipment. (3) Experience selecting proper replacement parts, modification kits, mechanisms, and components from manufacturer's literature to conduct complex and minor repairs while ensuring optimum medical equipment standards are maintained. Major DutiesYou will supervise the evaluation, development, maintenance and coordination of procurement for biomedical equipment (newly procured or used).You will enforce established procedures for equipment purchase and inventory tracking of all equipment accounts under the cognizance of the Navy Health Research Center Commanding OfficerYou will serve as the primary technical resource in the design, planning and outfitting of highly sophisticated medical and non-medical equipment.You will serve as the primary point of contact for biomedical equipment maintenance under service warranties or maintenance contracts.You will ensure equipment packages have all the necessary internal and external approvals before forwarding to purchasing division for acquisition.You will direct the performance of equipment inventories annually, triennially, for Naval Medical Logistics Command (NMLC) compliance.You will approve and sign all required documentation for the proper transfer of government property to medical treatment facilities (MTF) or Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services (DLA-DS).
