To qualify for the 2210 series: IT COMPETENCIES: For all position's individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Specialized experience MUST include all of the following: Implementing cloud infrastructure and applications to an operational setting; and Evaluating the performance of cloud operations.
Major DutiesAs an IT Specialist, you will perform the following duties: As a Cloud Information Technology (IT) Specialist, participate in the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure and services, managing the adoption process, and evaluating cloud applications, virtual instances, software, and services. Work with IT developers to resolve issues encountered during the development, testing, and deployment phases of projects. Identify customers' information systems requirements, analyze information systems environments, and translate those requirements into development plans for IT cloud architectures for the transition new capabilities into operations. Assist in ensuring all IT cloud-based projects conform to relevant organizational and federal rules and regulations. Serve as the Enterprise Cloud Services Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) and lead, providing support for Enterprise Cloud Services and all cloud architecture initiatives and projects. Follow policy, procedure, and guidelines for the planning and delivery of cloud services, ensuring assigned work is on schedule and updating program and project managers on work status. Interact professionally with a diverse group of individuals and IT specialists and communicate and collaborate with customers, management, and key stakeholders, and address service-related questions or issues. Assist in developing Cloud technical guidance documents and track metrics, working internally and with Cloud Service Providers to ensure timely delivery of services. Evaluate vendor or employee-developed software to ensure it provides the desired results and operates properly on assigned cloud systems. Assist in the development, maintenance, and execution of project management plans, policies, and processes with a focus on cloud technologies. Design or conduct analytical studies, cost-benefit analyses, or other research regarding cloud resources and utilities. Assist in developing, implementing, and analyzing project, program, and portfolio management performance measurements to develop recommendations for senior management to improve performance.RequirementsKey Requirements: Applicants must be U.S. Citizens.
