Job SummaryThis is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range & Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County.

QualificationsWho May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes support functions such as: 1. Warehouse and supply management; 2. Property Accountability; 3. Government Purchase Card; 4. Demonstrating clear and effective communication skills with customers and management; 5. Providing customer service. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Major DutiesResponsible for property accountability to include hand receipt management, performing inventories, and maintaining stock levels.Preforms property disposal functions: accepting turn-in, prepares excess and surplus equipment for disposal and/or restock, and coordinates items for turn-in.Responsible for warehouse operations to stock and/or store property to stock expendable and durable supplies and to move large and/or bulky property.Purchases supplies, equipment, printing, and training utilizing Government Purchase Card (GPC).Responsible for customer service to include responding to inquiries, answering the door, and answering the phone.
