Job SummaryTHIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH MANAGER, Position Description Number D2204P01 is part of the KS 184 Wing, National Guard.

QualificationsMilitary Grades: E-5 through E-8 Compatible Military Assignments: 1S0X1 Must be willing and able to cross train into the compatible AFSC GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have performed, as a team member, specified survey work to identify and evaluate hazardous and nonhazardous work and conditions. Applied conventional survey techniques to complete relatively uncomplicated evaluations. Made recommendations concerning corrective procedures where the potential for injury or property damage exists or current procedures do not achieve the desired results or modify/cancel the corrective procedures are no longer appropriate for situations encountered. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 1 year equivalent to at least next lower grade level (GS-9). Experience, education, or training performing periodic/unscheduled inspections of base facilities, warehouses, and equipment maintenance operations and evaluated compliance with applicable regulations and hazard system. Recommended measures and methods to correct safety and occupational health deficiencies. Participated in planning for testing of munitions, and assured integration of explosive safety criteria in testing procedures. Reviewed test implementation directives for inclusion of appropriate safety criteria.

Major DutiesAs a Safety and Occupational Health Manager, GS-0018-11, you will perform work in a broad range of ground safety program elements such as, inspections/surveys, evaluations, mishap investigations, advisory safety services to tenant organizations and safety training. Perform other duties as assigned. Work Schedule: This position works on a 5/4/9 compressed work schedule that consists of a 5-day workweek, then a 4-day workweek (eight 9-hour days and one 8-hour day and an SDO, Scheduled Day Off) to complete the 80-hour pay period. Work schedule is subject to change based on mission requirements. Telework: ELIGIBLE FOR SITUATIONAL TELEWORK ONLY, INCLUDING EMERGENCY AND PRESCRIBED "UNSCHEDULED TELEWORK
