Job SummaryThis is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serve as Housing Manager, Directorate of Public Works, supervise employees engaged in support of housing management programs: Housing Services Office, Unaccompanied Housing, Furnishings Management, Residential Communities Initiative, Privatized Army Lodging, and Army Family Housing

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Leading government housing programs for an installation size organization or equivalent; 2) Developing government housing policies for an installation size organization or equivalent; AND 3) Leading a staff responsible for performing housing management work. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Major DutiesServes as a Housing Manager in the Directorate of Public Works (DPW) at a large multi-mission installation.Develops overall installation plans and procedures for barracks sustainment.Provides technical housing expertise and assistance in representing Department of the Army and Garrison objectives.Analyzes and assess data for a variety of reports pertinent to availability of unaccompanied housing and/or housing operations.Performs periodic surveys, audits, reviews, studies, and/or inspections to determine unaccompanied housing conditions and/or requirements to evaluate work under the housing contracts.
