For our client, Saab (located in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands), we are looking for a System Engineer with a few years of experience as a system engineer and strong knowledge of the networking domain. To strengthen our international team, we are looking for a System Engineer - Air Traffic Management (ATM) with a passion for technology, safety, and innovation. Your role as a System Engineer As a System Engineer, you will work on the development, integration, testing, and optimization of systems that are crucial to Air Traffic Management (ATM). This includes radar, communication, navigation, and surveillance solutions. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as software developers, product managers, network engineers, cybersecurity experts, and subcontractors (both in Apeldoorn and abroad). You will also liaise with clients such as air traffic controllers, technical specialists, and external suppliers. Depending on your experience, you will start at level A or B - with growth opportunities towards technical or leadership positions. What will you do? Development and Design • Design hardware and software solutions for radar systems, flight data processing, and communication networks. • Develop system architectures in accordance with international standards (ICAO, EASA, EUROCONTROL). Integration and Testing • Integrate ATM components and carry out system validation (FAT/SAT). • Work with test environments, simulations, and real-world operational scenarios.
