Core responsibilities - Prepare and post journal entries; maintain accurate general ledger records. - Perform monthly/period-end close activities, including accruals, prepaids, and allocations. - Reconcile balance sheet accounts (e.g., cash, AP/AR-related accounts, fixed assets) and resolve variances. - Support financial statement preparation, flux analysis, and management reporting. - Assist with audit requests and provide supporting schedules and documentation. - Ensure compliance with accounting policies, SOX/internal controls, and documentation standards. - Partner with cross-functional teams to improve processes, accuracy, and close timelines. Required skills and qualifications - Accounting knowledge: general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial close. - Technical skills: proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel. - Analytical ability: identify trends, investigate discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions. - Attention to detail: accurate data entry, documentation, and adherence to deadlines. - Communication: clear coordination with stakeholders and auditors. - Education/experience: degree in Accounting/Finance (or equivalent) and relevant GL experience.
