Buyer – Production Equipment (CAPEX) We are looking for a senior and commercially driven Buyer specialising in Production Equipment and CAPEX. You will join an international procurement organisation and manage high-value sourcing projects in close collaboration with global suppliers and stakeholders across several markets. This assignment is ideal for an experienced buyer who enjoys commercial negotiations, complex business cases and identifying cost-saving opportunities in an international manufacturing environment. 🛠️ Key responsibilities In this role, you will: Manage procurement activities related to Production Equipment and CAPEX. Lead commercial negotiations in line with project plans and purchasing milestones. Negotiate commercial and legal agreements with suppliers. Manage sourcing projects, supplier evaluations and benchmarking activities. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across commercial, technical and supply chain areas. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, procurement colleagues and international suppliers. Ensure that quality, cost and delivery requirements are met. Build and maintain strong commercial relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement information in relevant systems. Manage several parallel projects and take ownership of timely delivery. ✅ Required qualifications and experience To succeed in this assignment, you should have: Relevant experience in procurement and strategic sourcing. Experience purchasing Production Equipment and managing CAPEX-related procurement. Strong experience leading commercial negotiations. Experience managing suppliers, sourcing projects and commercial agreements. A university degree in economics, engineering, another technical discipline or an equivalent qualification. Excellent written and spoken English. Strong analytical and commercial skills. The ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively. You are expected to be a communicative and confident negotiator with strong business acumen. You take initiative, deliver results and are comfortable challenging existing approaches to create better commercial outcomes. High integrity, professionalism and a collaborative mindset are essential. 🌟 Desirable qualifications It is considered an advantage if you have: Experience in indirect procurement within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Experience working with international suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders. Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications.
