About this role

Full-time, primarily onsite position in Tallinn. We welcome applications from both strong junior and mid-level Systems Engineers. Starting date as soon as possible or by agreement. Work tasks: The Systems Engineer will support the definition, coordination, integration, verification and delivery of Golbriak Space’s optical communication systems. Main responsibilities: * Capture, analyse, define and maintain system and subsystem requirements * Translate product and mission objectives into clear technical requirements, actions and deliverables * Allocate requirements across subsystems and maintain traceability throughout the product-development lifecycle * Coordinate interfaces between mechanical, optical, electronic, software, thermal, manufacturing and testing activities * Identify technical dependencies, assumptions, constraints, conflicts and risks * Develop system-level verification and validation plans and define appropriate acceptance criteria * Support system integration, testing, troubleshooting and qualification activities * Review test results and verification evidence against defined requirements * Coordinate the resolution of technical issues involving multiple engineering disciplines * Track technical activities, dependencies, risks, decisions and milestones * Prepare and support technical and design reviews * Maintain requirements specifications, interface documentation, verification plans, technical reports and engineering decision records * Support configuration management and the controlled implementation of engineering changes * Collaborate closely with founders, engineering leads, technical teams, suppliers, partners and customers * Contribute to the improvement of systems-engineering processes, documentation and development workflows We offer: * A central engineering role with direct impact on advanced optical communication systems * Meaningful technical ownership across requirements management, system integration, verification and engineering coordination * The opportunity to work across mechanical, optical, electronic, software, manufacturing and testing disciplines * Close collaboration with an international and multidisciplinary engineering team * The opportunity to develop your expertise in systems engineering, optical communications, telecommunications and aerospace * The ability to contribute to technical decisions, engineering processes and ways of working as the company grows * A gross monthly salary of €2100–€3000, depending on experience, skills and expected level of responsibility * Relocation support to Estonia if required * Reasonable flexibility in working hours, consistent with operational and team needs Other requirements: We are looking for a candidate with strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, technical curiosity and the ability to understand complex systems as a whole. The person should be able to identify dependencies, constraints and potential conflicts between different engineering disciplines. The successful candidate will be organised, reliable and willing to take ownership. They should be able to coordinate multiple technical activities and priorities simultaneously. Strong communication and collaboration skills are required, together with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly. The company’s working language is English, so professional working proficiency in English is required. The candidate must be willing to work primarily onsite in Tallinn and be comfortable in a fast-moving environment where priorities and technical requirements may evolve.
