About this role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Lab Technician to join our Quality Control Operations team in Boxmeer. Quality Control Operations (QCO) is a dynamic team that supports all Integrated Process Teams (IPTs) of Animal Health in Boxmeer by performing all quality control tests in a timely manner. QCO is responsible for all physical, chemical, biological, and microbiological testing of vaccine and pharmaceutical finished products, antigens, raw materials, APIs, and primary packaging materials within Boxmeer. As a Lab Technician, you play an important role within the QCO team by ensuring that (Immunoassay) QC tests are performed with high quality in accordance with applicable GMP and safety guidelines, including conducting trend analyses to identify opportunities for improvement.
Your responsibilities will include:
Performing and reporting immunoassay tests for production, stability, and/or batch releaseComplies with applicable regulations (GMP, EHS)Executes test optimization - Executing, drafting, and leading a simple change / Tier 1 change (method, new equipment, new tests, innovations) in collaboration with other departments, disciplines, and sites (acting as Change Manager in CMS).Provides laboratory technical supportContributes to the implementation of department‑wide improvement initiativesCollaborates with the IPT and provides guidance on product‑related GMP issuesCommunicates all important or critical observations to management to ensure proper and immediate assessment/actionMPS activities, trainings, additional tasks, etc. also influence the actual testing and reporting time of this role. Bachelor of Applied Science (BSc) or Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biochemistry, Biology or Molecular Biology or HBO/HLOExperience in laboratory techniques such as ELISA and other immunoassays is requiredExperience with working under GLP and GMP requirements is preferredAble to work independently and in a teamStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a multi-disciplinary and international teamProficient in Dutch and English is a mandatory requirement, both speaking and writing.
