The opportunity Our Client designs, supports and maintains IT solutions for mission-critical operations at international customer sites — where conventional IT meets industrial operational technology, and reliability, clear communication and disciplined execution really matter. We're strengthening our Service Desk with an experienced Level 2 engineer who takes end-to-end ownership, collaborates across teams, keeps customers informed, and helps the whole support organization work more consistently and effectively. What you'll do Own assigned incidents and service requests end-to-end — from acceptance through resolution, validation and documented closure Diagnose complex application, infrastructure, integration, database and OS issues using logs, traces and structured troubleshooting Restore service via remote or on-site intervention, respecting operational, security and change-control requirements Analyze problems, reproduce defects in lab/virtual environments, and collaborate with Development and DevOps on fixes Perform planned preventive and corrective maintenance, and support release validation and go-live readiness Maintain documentation, build knowledge articles, and drive continuous improvement across the support organization Why join us Work on technically varied systems supporting real-time, mission-critical operations Combine IT, OT, customer interaction, troubleshooting, maintenance and improvement in one role Collaborate with experienced support, operations, development, DevOps and project teams Grow within an international technology group with a global customer footprint 3+ years of hands-on Level 2 (or equivalent) IT application/infrastructure support in a business-critical environment Strong troubleshooting across Windows and/or Linux, networks, services, logs, databases and distributed applications Experience with incident, request, problem and change practices in an ITIL-aligned organization Clear technical writing in English; working proficiency in French (must have) and Dutch Valid category B driving license; willing to travel to customer sites and join a compensated on-call rotation Nice to have: Microsoft Server stack (Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server) and/or Linux/Unix administration Relational & NoSQL platforms: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch Integration, APIs, messaging & MicroServices (e.g. ActiveMQ, Apache Camel) Scripting/automation in Python, PowerShell, JavaScript or C# Experience in industrial IT/OT or other 24/7 operational environments; Jira & Confluence The mindset we're looking for: You take ownership rather than waiting for others to unblock a ticket, and you stay accountable until a sound handover or closure.
