The Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, your main responsibilities will be to deliver various Grounds and related labour services as part of a trades team. You must also be willing to provide a broad range of assistance to other services provided by Sodexo. You will be required to attend to the maintenance of grounds areas, unloading and loading equipment, and general manual labour etc.
The role is based in the camp. You will be required to learn and abide by the safety procedures - this is good steppingstone for those looking to enter the mining industry.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Delivering and picking-up equipment (tools, piping and services)Delivering and transporting personnel to areas of minePrevious grounds and general maintenance experience in a remote site, mine camp, school, or large grounds areaAble to follow instructions and ensure effective time management in the contractual service deliverPrevious experience working with power tools, ride on mowers, chemical handlingIdeally, some previous experience working with safe usage of related chemicals, fertilisers, poisons and pesticides, as well as strong safety awareness and safe work ethicAble to build and maintain relationships with stakeholdersAbout You
Ability to travel safely to and from workMust have Australian Drivers LicencePhysically fit and able to work long shifts (up to 11 hours)You will be required to obtain a National Police Check, should you not have one dated within the last 6 monthsAbility to endure remote environments in extreme weather conditionsMust pass a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol screeningWhy Join Sodexo?
