About this role
For our client in Ypres, a metal foundry, we are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to work in a two-shift system. What will you do? You will be responsible for the electrical and electronic maintenance of the foundry’s installations, both corrective and preventive. This includes independently diagnosing faults, malfunctions, and defects, as well as replacing and repairing defective components. You will carry out various inspections and checks as part of the preventive maintenance program. Together with the foreman, you will analyze the root causes of defects and formulate improvement proposals to support continuous improvement. You will perform your tasks with a strong focus on keeping both the installations and the surrounding work environment clean and orderly. Acquiring and sharing knowledge with colleagues is an essential part of the role. A comprehensive training program is provided as part of the onboarding and development process. Who are we looking for? You have completed an A2 degree in Electricity or Electronics, or you have gained equivalent knowledge through experience. You have some knowledge of PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics. You combine a hands-on approach with strong analytical skills. You have experience with welding. You enjoy working as part of a team and have a strong interest in technology. You are flexible and in good physical condition. You are looking for a position in a two-shift system (alternating early and late shifts).
