Role Name: Technical Lead .NET Location: Brussels, Belgium Remote Work: Yes Start Date: 14/09/2026 Language Requirement: French or Dutch, CEFR C2, and English, CEFR C1 Work Regime: Full-time, 100% Technical Leadership & Team Guidance Advise and guide the development team. Promote a culture of technical excellence. Take overall technical responsibility for the software systems within the application team. Ensure software development and implementation align with organisational standards and objectives. Support developers in making sound technical decisions. Hands-on .NET Development Spend a significant portion of time on practical development activities. Participate directly in coding. Develop new application functionality. Resolve software defects and technical issues. Remain actively involved in implementation rather than operating only at architectural level. System Design & Architecture Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems. Respect defined architectural standards. Collaborate with the architecture team to complement the overall architecture. Work with the Portfolio Architect to align with strategic architecture. Make appropriate additional design decisions where required. Requirements Analysis Work with analysts to refine functional and business requirements. Translate requirements into robust technical solutions. Understand customer needs and business objectives. Ensure technical solutions remain aligned with broader organisational goals. Code Review & Quality Assurance Conduct thorough code reviews. Ensure high standards of software quality. Implement and maintain strong quality assurance practices. Promote development best practices. Safeguard maintainability and technical consistency. Performance Optimisation Regularly evaluate software performance. Identify bottlenecks and performance issues. Implement appropriate optimisation measures. Ensure stable and efficient application behaviour. Security Integrate current security practices into software solutions. Consider security implications when making technical and architectural decisions. Ensure software systems are protected against relevant threats. Align security implementation with architectural choices. Technical Deliverables & I&O Coordination Prepare detailed technical documentation for software releases. Prepare infrastructure requests. Produce documentation required for production deployment and commissioning. Manage configuration change requests towards Infrastructure & Operations. Coordinate with I&O teams to maintain system stability and performance. Technology Evaluation & Integration Evaluate new technologies. Assess their relevance against business objectives and architectural choices. Integrate suitable technologies into the application landscape. Identify opportunities to improve system capabilities and technical efficiency.
