About this role
The Engineer, Mining, is responsible for supporting the planning, design, and optimization of mining operations to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable production. This role provides technical expertise in mine planning, production scheduling, ventilation, and operational analysis to support both short-term and long-term mine plans.

Responsibilities:
• Assist with ventilation planning and monitoring to ensure safe working conditions.
• Support drill and blast design, ground support planning, and other technical aspects of underground mining operations.
• Develop and maintain short-term and long-term mine plans in alignment with production targets and operational requirements.
• Design underground mine layouts, including development headings, stopes, ventilation systems, and infrastructure.
• Prepare production schedules and coordinate with operations to ensure mining activities align with planned targets.
• Monitor mining performance and analyze operational data to identify opportunities for improved productivity and efficiency.
• Conduct site inspections and work closely with operations teams to ensure plans are executed safely and effectively.
• Prepare technical reports, mine plans, and operational documentation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and health and safety standards.
• Participate in risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety initiatives.
• Support cost control initiatives and evaluate operational efficiencies.
• Assist with the evaluation and implementation of new mining methods, technologies, and operational improvements
