Our client, a privately held, well-established, Canadian industrial organization is seeking a Accounting Manager. With vertically integrated operations and multiple business lines, the company plays a critical role in supporting infrastructure and development projects across North America. What our client has to offer:	 • Excellent compensation package ranging from $100,000 to $110,000	 • Hybrid - 3 days in office, option of 2 days remote	 • An incentive bonus of up to 10% based on annual goals.	 • Comprehensive health and dental benefits, including life insurance, effective from day one.	 • A robust pension plan with a 6% company contribution after one year, plus an optional company RSP.	 • Generous vacation: three weeks plus an additional paid week during the Christmas shutdown, usable as floater days.	 • A collaborative environment where professional development and mentorship are highly valued.	 • Career growth opportunities Responsibilities:	 • Oversee the general accounting function for the Environmental Group, ensuring accurate and timely maintenance of the general ledger, reconciliations, subledgers, and fixed asset registers.	 • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to business leaders and senior management.	 • Coordinate and prepare annual budgets and forecasts, partnering with business units to understand financial drivers, risks, and opportunities.	 • Prepare and file applicable government and sales tax filings, while supporting corporate tax reporting as required.	 • Develop and deliver ad hoc financial reports and analysis to support management decision-making and respond to business and Finance department requests.	 • Prepare audit working papers, respond to auditor inquiries, and provide accurate and timely information to support an efficient audit process.	 • Attend operating, financial review, and management meetings, providing financial guidance, insight, and support to operational and senior leadership teams.	 • Implement, monitor, and document effective financial controls, processes, and systems to safeguard the integrity of the general ledger and financial reporting.	 • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, controls, and workflows, driving greater efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across the business.	 • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and service excellence. Qualifications:	 • College diploma or university degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline	 • CPA designation (CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA) required	 • At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities	 • Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting principles and financial reporting standards	 • Experience preparing financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, budgets, forecasts, and audit working papers	 • Corporate tax experience an asset	 • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial reporting systems	 • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build credibility at all levels of the organization	 • Strong organizational and time-management skills, comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment	 • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills, including
