*Now Hiring: Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)*
Lambton Rural Child Care (LRCC) is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our child care team!
As a RECE, you will work collaboratively with your colleagues to create a safe, welcoming and engaging learning environment where children can learn, grow and thrive.
*What You'll Do*
* Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate programs based on children's interests, needs and development. * Support children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. * Prepare learning environments, activities and materials that encourage exploration and growth. * Supervise children at all times, both indoors and outdoors. * Build positive relationships and maintain open communication with children, families and team members. * Observe children's development and identify concerns or additional support needs. * Assist with implementing individual support plans and ensuring children's individual needs are met. * Complete required documentation, including attendance, daily logs, illness records and sleep charts. * Conduct daily health, safety and playground inspections. * Follow all health, safety, cleaning, sanitation and safe sleep requirements. * Assist children with meals, snacks, toileting and other daily routines as needed. * Respond appropriately to incidents, administer minor first aid when required and complete necessary documentation. * Participate in staff meetings and contribute positively to the LRCC team. * Assist with mentoring RECE students and supporting the orientation of new team members when required. * Perform other related duties as assigned.
*Qualifications*
The successful candidate will have:
* A valid Criminal Reference Check, including vulnerable sector screening, as required. * Current CPR and First Aid certification. * Required CAS/Child Welfare, TB and immunization documentation. * *RECE designation*, where applicable, or qualifications required to obtain *Otherwise Approved* status from the Ministry of Education. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Knowledge of How Does Learning Happen?, ELECT and Ages and Stages Questionnaires. * Strong organizational and teamwork skills. * Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. * A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning and development.
*Compensation:*
Starting Rate - $25.86
