We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks to transport aggregate across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. *Responsibilities*
* Safely operate Class 1 heavy-duty trucks to transport freight over short and long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations * Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security * Load and unload aggregate in a safe and timely manner * Maintain accurate documentation for shipments, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and freight manifests * Communicate effectively with dispatchers, pit personnel, and clients to coordinate pickups and deliveries * Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle safety and operational readiness * Operate heavy equipment such as pay loaders when required for loading or unloading cargo
*Qualifications*
* Valid Class 1 commercial driver?s license with a clean driving record * Proven experience in commercial driving and freight transportation operation and heavy equipment handling * Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting vehicle issues * Ability to perform detailed vehicle inspections and adhere to safety protocols * Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions * Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks related to freight handling
