*Overview*
Join our vibrant team as a Gardener and unleash your passion for creating stunning outdoor spaces! We are looking for a horticulture enthusiast who will complete our dynamic team. The successful candidate will accompany one other gardener and travel to various sites in and around HRM to address properties to a set specification, to a high standard, and within an agreed time frame.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Planting shrubs, flowers, and perennials as well as some small trees; * Maintenance of green spaces, weeding, pruning, deadheading, staking, watering, etc; * Survey of plants; * Detect watering or irrigation anomalies of plants; * Monitoring of plants; * Landscape inspection to detect the presence of pests and diseases; * Application of pesticides, fungicides, and diseases; * Report to Supervisor.
*Requirements:*
* Possess a valid Class 5 drivers license; * First aid and WHIMIS preferred; * Enjoy working in a team and be punctual; * Resourcefulness and autonomy; * Effective prioritization and time management skills; * Must be tolerant to climate hazards (heat, rain, cold); * Physical strength and stamina; * Must be flexible to work all required shifts, including some weekends and holidays.
