Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an *Industrial Painter* / *Auto Body Prep Apprentice*. This position offers hands-on experience in surface preparation, coating applications, with opportunities for growth in both industrial and auto body sectors.
*Responsibilities:*
* Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, blasting, and applying primers. * Mix and apply paints, coatings, and sealers using spray guns, brushes, or rollers. * Mask and tape areas not to be painted. * Apply body fillers and sand smooth for automotive refinishing. * Inspect finished surfaces for quality and uniformity. * Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment. * Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE. * Collaborate with senior technicians and learn advanced techniques.
Skills:
- Experience in industrial painting or a similar role
- Knowledge of different types of paints, coatings, and their applications
- Ability to use hand tools such as sanders, scrapers, and brushes
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting painting equipment
- Proficiency in operating a forklift or crane is desirable
