A Painter applies primer and topcoat to parts in readiness for assembly or customers.

*Duties/Responsibilities*
· follow instructions given by supervisors/managers
· make sure parts are clean/prepared prior to painting
· ensure that proper colour is being used for parts
· push parts or have parts pushed into the paint booth and efficiently arrange for painting
· apply primer and topcoat
· make sure that paint evenly and fully covers parts
· push parts of have parts pushed out of paint booth
· keep work area neat and organized
· keep equipment operational and maintained
· change paint as necessary
· clean/maintain paint booth (i.e. change filters, clean lights, etc.)
· keep paint kitchen/storage clean and make sure all paint is in spill tray and grounded
· always work safely, follow safety protocols, and wear proper personal protective equipment
· cooperate with quality control when parts need to be corrected or reworked
· alert supervisor if equipment is not functioning correctly of if there is a potential safety hazard
· alert supervisor if there is a possible issue with a part
· other duties as required by supervisor or manager
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 44.0 ? 55.0 per week
