Position Summary
Bursey Excavation and Development Limited is seeking reliable and hardworking Construction Labourers to support civil construction projects in St. John?s Metro. This role is well suited to individuals who are safety-focused, physically capable, and able to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
Skilled Labourers
Role Overview
Supports crews across all scopes including earthworks, utilities, concrete, and structures.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist trades and operators with daily tasks. * Perform site cleanup, material handling, and basic tool use. * Set grades, pull stringlines, and support layout. * Install erosion control, fencing, and temporary works. * Follow all safety procedures and participate in toolbox talks.
Qualifications
* Experience in civil construction preferred. * Ability to work in fast-paced, outdoor environments.
General Labourers
Role Overview
Provides general support to field operations across multiple work fronts.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle materials, tools, and equipment. * Support excavation, compaction, and concrete tasks. * Maintain safe work zones and assist with traffic control. * Perform physical labour in varying weather conditions.
Qualifications
* Strong work ethic and reliability. * Willingness to learn and grow into skilled roles. * Asset with a background in Water & Sewer * Asset with past working experience in Pipelaying
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
